At least 46 people have been killed and over 200 injured in a series of bomb attacks across Iraq on Tuesday morning, News 19 reported.
In the city of Karbala exploded two car bombs that killed 13 people and wounded 48 others.
Other explosions occurred outside the Foreign Ministry in Baghdad and the cities of Kirkuk, Hilla, Baiji, Samarra, Tuz Khormato and Mahmudiya.
The attacks come as the Iraqis marked the ninth anniversary of the US-led invasion of their country on Monday.
US-led forces invaded Iraq on March 19, 2003 over claims that Saddam Hussein’s regime was in possession of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). However, no WMDs were ever discovered in Iraq.
